A Mindanao Campaigns Medal 1890-1895 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac with mint and unissued original(Medalla de las campaas de Mindanao). Instituted in 1895. In silvered zinc with a bronze frame rim, the dates "1890 1891" above "1894 1895" designing the two campaigns on the reverse, measuring 35. 3 mm (w) x 42. 3 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally pierced ball suspension, traces of silvering remains, original ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Mindanao Campaigns Medal was awarded to Spanish soldiers who fought against the Moros in Mindanao in
