Specifically produced in England for the North American Fur Trade, this is a Flintlock Trade pistol intended for the use of the Trappers and the Native American population as well. The barrel is marked LONDON on the top, and bears numerous London Proof House Marks near the breech. The lock plate is marked faintly with SQUIRES & Co., and the pistol has all brass mounts. W. SQUIRES worked in London from 1777 1800.
