Recently acquired in the United Kingdom, this has a great story behind it. This brass massive cigarette lighter was recovered after the Capture of U 570 on August 27th 1941 by a British Lockheed Hudson Light Bomber Air Craft of Squadron 269, after the vessel was damaged by a depth charge. The U Boat was on its first patrol, which definitely did not end as planned by the German forces. The side of the lighter is engraved
