Original Imperial Japanese Army WWII Type 90 Last Ditch Helmet with Painted Kanji Under Rim - Liner & Chinstrap U.S. Flags In 1936 after the NSDAPOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a very rare Type 90 Civil defense last ditch helmet, complete with an intact woven fabric & oilcloth liner. The Japanese WWII Civil Defense helmet was the final of four variations of the Type 90 Army helmet and was designed specifically for mainland civil defense. This example has two large Kanji characters painted under the rim, with more period paint covering them, a good research project. Overall condition
